Autosliced vs Email Snipper: Auto-Slice or Manual Precision?
In short
Email Snipper if you want every cut manual and occasional ZIP. Autosliced if you want a suggested grid, bulk alt text, and a Klaviyo-native push.
Email Snipper and Autosliced disagree about who should place the first cut. Snipper assumes it is you every time, with a precise visual slicer, edge snap, and ZIP when Klaviyo is not the only ESP in the room. We assume AI should waste the first pass and you should only spend attention on the lines it got wrong.
That is temperament, not marketing fluff. Some operators hate suggested cuts. Some operators hate starting from a blank canvas. Both are rational.
If your hands want the knife
Snipper is the better toy (meant kindly). Click splits, columns, footer crop, undo/redo. Export to Klaviyo campaign, template, or image library, or take a ZIP for somewhere else. Free tier with monthly exports; Pro around $12/mo. For pure manual craft at a low price, it is hard to argue with.
Auto alt on Klaviyo export exists; the story is not “AI does the grid.” If that sentence disappoints you, you wanted a different product.
If you want the grid proposed
Autosliced runs auto-slice first. You still get full manual override, the difference is you are editing a suggestion, not building from zero. Bulk alt text, per-slice compression, Klaviyo template publish with republish that does not casually nuke the header you built in the ESP.
ZIP / multi-ESP is not our focus today. If you live half the week in something that is not Klaviyo, Snipper’s export story is wider. We are opinionated about Klaviyo on purpose.
A two-email test (better than another table)
Take one clean promo and one messy hero-with-type layout. Time yourself in both tools from import to “ready to finish in Klaviyo.” Include alt text. Include the two minutes of swearing at a bad cut.
Snipper usually wins when the layout is simple and you already know where every line goes. We usually win when the layout is long, you are tired, and starting from a blank grid is the part you resent. Your hands may disagree. Trust the stopwatch, not this paragraph.
Price is not the interesting part
Both are cheap relative to Grotto-class pricing. Snipper Pro ~$12. Autosliced from $9 after early access (free through July 31, 2026). You will not save a company by picking the $3 difference. You will save hours by picking the interaction model you do not fight.
Pick
Email Snipper: manual precision, ZIP, multi-destination export, low cost.
Autosliced: AI first pass, refine-heavy UI, bulk alt, Klaviyo-native publish.

Try it on a real email
Drop a Figma export into Autosliced, fix the cuts that miss, and push a Klaviyo draft. Free while early access lasts (through July 31, 2026).
